Ohio Linux Fest fast approaches
Oct 8th, 2008 by admin
I just realized that I never mentioned that I’m one of the speakers at the Ohio Linux Fest this weekend. It’s in Columbus, Ohio, and apparently is the largest Free and Open Source Software conference in the mid-west. I’ll be doing a book signing/meet and greet for anyone interested in Blender at some point during the day (I haven’t received the schedule yet) at the Convention Center Border’s bookstore. There is also a chance that I’ll have a table in the .org section of the exhibition hall. If so, I’ll probably just be working on my latest project all day, demoing Blender, answering questions and hanging out as needed.
The website is ohiolinux.org.
I just wanted to say it was a pleasure meeting you at Ohio Linuxfest this year. I read the first part of your book on the way home, and it’s definitely inspiring. I already had an interest in Blender, but the interest has definitely been intensified. Hope you’ll consider coming again next year!
I wanted to say thanks for the presentation! I really enjoyed it. I own the Introducing character animation with blender by Mullen. I think your book was out of stock or something when I was going to buy it..I believe that was a good year or so ago so I forgot until this presentation.
Aw thanks. I had a great time, too, and it was cool to get to talk about something I’m really into (Blender, duh) and spread the word a bit.
