Hi Roland,
I am on the Board of The Center for Creative Arts (CCArts) in Yorklyn, DE, just over the PA border west of Philadelphia. We have been around for almost 30 years and are trying to make our classes more relevant to teenagers. I love animation and am a computer fan (not quite a geek), so I am putting together a camp program on stop motion animation, pen tablet illustration, and video game character design. In researching software, I think that Blender would be perfect for our video game character creation. I"m hoping that as the program grows we can get into some serious classes on game design and 3D animation.
I've purchased the Essential Blender book and I have a MacBook Pro, Wacom tablet, green screen, Canon digital SLR, etc. I plan to buy 4 iMacs for CCArts and I hope that will get us started.
I was wondering if you ever make personal appearances or go on the road with a workshop? It would be really great to have you as a guest speaker/teacher during our camp.
Also, if we create 3D characters with Blender, can they be incorporated into a game program? That would be our ultimate goal for the video game area.
Thanks for any advice you can provide. You can check out our center at www.CCArts.org.

It's a bit misleading to say (in the "More" about "cost") that Blender "is restricted to" one directory. (That implies some kind of licensing-restriction.)

What was meant is: "everything fits into just one directory." And it does. That's not a "restriction," but rather, a great positive characteristic of the program.

(Obviously that is what the writer DID mean.)
